  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon water optional, for thinning

Method
 

  1. Gather and measure all ingredients to ensure a smooth mixing process.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the gochujang and soy sauce until smooth.
  3. Add the rice vinegar and honey or maple syrup, stirring until fully combined.
  4. Drizzle in the sesame oil and mix thoroughly to incorporate the nutty flavor.
  5. Stir in the minced garlic until evenly distributed throughout the sauce.
  6. If the sauce is too thick, add water one teaspoon at a time until desired consistency is reached.
  7. Transfer the sauce to an airtight container and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow flavors to meld. Store in the refrigerator for up to one week.
