- Fill your tall glass with ice cubes, packing them fairly full since the liquid will settle around the frozen cubes.
- Add the acai puree, 1/4 cup of the coconut water, and 2 tablespoons of the water to your blender. Blend on high speed for 30 to 45 seconds until smooth and pourable, breaking up any frozen chunks.
- Slowly pour the blended acai mixture over the ice in your glass until it reaches about halfway. This creates the base layer and gives you that beautiful deep purple color at the bottom of the glass.
- Rinse out your blender quickly, then add the fresh strawberries, honey or agave, lemon juice, and the remaining 1/4 cup coconut water and 2 tablespoons water. Blend on high speed for 30 to 45 seconds until completely smooth and vibrant pink.
- Slowly pour the strawberry blend into the glass over the back of a spoon to create a distinct color layer on top of the acai. The spoon slows the pour and helps the lighter strawberry layer float above the darker acai base.
- Take a small sip from the center where the layers meet and assess the sweetness balance. If it tastes too tart, add a drizzle of honey and stir gently; if too sweet, add a splash of water or a squeeze more lemon juice.
- Add a small handful of acai granola or coconut flakes on top for crunch and visual appeal. Fresh strawberry slices arranged on top make the drink look intentional and photo-ready.
- Insert a tall spoon or wide straw and give the drink a gentle stir just before drinking to mix the layers slightly. This creates a marbled effect and ensures every sip has the balanced flavor you worked to achieve.
Notes
Pro Tip: Chill your glass in the freezer for 10 minutes before making the drink to keep everything colder longer and prevent the layers from melting and mixing too fast. Use frozen acai packs rather than acai powder for better texture and more vibrant color. Make this drink immediately before serving rather than hours in advance, as the layers do gradually blend over time.
