Ingredients

Main
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Equipment

  • Baking dish
  • Mixing bowl
  • Whisk
  • Meat thermometer
  • Plastic wrap or foil

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) ensuring it reaches the correct temperature before baking.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, honey, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, black pepper, salt, and smoked paprika to form the marinade.
  3. Place chicken breasts in a baking dish and pour the marinade over them, making sure each piece is well coated.
  4. Cover the baking dish with plastic wrap or foil and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 24 hours for maximum flavor.
  5. Remove the chicken from the marinade, discard any excess liquid, and arrange the breasts evenly in the dish.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (75°C) when checked with a meat thermometer.
  7. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 5–10 minutes to allow juices to redistribute.
  8. Slice the chicken against the grain and serve immediately with your favorite side dishes.

Notes

Marinating overnight enhances the flavor and tenderness of the chicken.
