Method
- Add the sour cream and mayonnaise to a medium mixing bowl. Use a whisk or wooden spoon to blend them together until the mixture is smooth and uniform in texture.
- Open the packet of Knorr Vegetable Recipe Mix and sprinkle it evenly over the sour cream and mayonnaise mixture.
- Stir the ingredients together using a whisk or spoon, scraping down the sides of the bowl as you go. Continue mixing for about 1 to 2 minutes until no dry powder remains and the dip has a uniform light green color with visible flecks of herbs.
- Use a rubber spatula to scrape the bottom and sides of the bowl, bringing any unmixed portions into the center. Fold the dip over itself a few times to catch any pockets of plain sour cream or concentrated seasoning.
- Transfer the dip to a serving bowl or storage container and cover tightly with plastic wrap, pressing it directly onto the surface of the dip to prevent a skin from forming. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
- Remove the dip from the refrigerator about 10 minutes before serving and give it a good stir to bring it back to a creamy, smooth texture.
- Spoon the dip into your serving bowl and smooth the top with the back of a spoon. Garnish with a sprinkle of paprika, fresh herbs, or a drizzle of olive oil if desired.
- Surround the dip bowl with fresh vegetables like carrot sticks, celery, bell pepper strips, cherry tomatoes, broccoli florets, and cucumber slices. Add crackers, chips, or bread cubes around the platter for variety.
Notes
Make this dip at least 4 hours ahead or even the night before serving for best flavor. The dip can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Use full-fat sour cream and mayonnaise for the richest, creamiest texture.
