  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional for heat

Method
 

  1. Measure out all spices: chili powder, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, ground cumin, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper if using.
  2. Place all measured spices into a small mixing bowl.
  3. Use a whisk or fork to blend the spices thoroughly until you have a uniform seasoning mix.
  4. Taste the seasoning and adjust the heat or salt levels to your preference.
  5. Transfer the seasoning mix to an air-tight container for storage.
  6. When ready to cook, sprinkle the seasoning generously on chicken pieces.
  7. Cook the seasoned chicken in a hot skillet over medium-high heat for about 6–8 minutes per side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  8. Serve the seasoned chicken in tortillas with your favorite toppings and enjoy.

Notes
