  • 1 cup fresh blackberries
  • 2 ounces tequila
  • 1 ounce lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 ounce simple syrup
  • Ice for shaking and serving
  • Blackberry or lime wedge for garnish

Method
 

  1. Start by rinsing the blackberries under cold water and patting them dry.
  2. Add the blackberries to the blender and pulse until smooth.
  3. Using a strainer, pour the blended blackberries to remove the seeds and pulp.
  4. In a cocktail shaker, combine the strained blackberry puree, tequila, lime juice, and simple syrup.
  5. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well combined and chilled.
  6. Strain the mixture into glasses filled with ice.
  7. Garnish with a blackberry or a lime wedge and serve immediately.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients whenever possible for the best flavor. Adjust simple syrup to taste and chill glasses for an extra refreshing drink.
