  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • Plastic wrap or kitchen towel
  • Pizza stone or baking sheet

Method

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm water and yeast.
  2. Add the flour and salt to the yeast mixture. Stir with a wooden spoon until the dough begins to form.
  3. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Place the kneaded dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap or a kitchen towel, and let it rise for about 30 minutes or until doubled in size.
  5. Once risen, punch down the dough to release excess air.
  6. Divide the dough into two equal portions.
  7. Shape each portion into a ball and let them rest for about 10 minutes.
  8. Roll out the dough to your desired thickness and add your favorite toppings.

Notes

Let the dough rest longer for a chewier crust. Store in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
