Chicken and Stuffing
As a kid we always ate the Stove Top Stuffing before anything else because that was the best part. Since this recipe has Stove Top Stuffing in it and is quick and easy to make it will be perfect for the kids.
Chicken and Stuffing
5 lb. chicken thighs
garlic and salt
butter/margarine
2 c. chicken broth
2 boxes Stove Top stuffing
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can sliced mushrooms, drained
Cook chicken in 3-4 c. water seasoned w/garlic and salt until tender. Cool, debone and shred. Set aside 2 c. of broth. Prepare stuffing as directed on box. Dot 9 x 13 pan with butter. Layer ½ can of both soups, all of stuffing and mushroom, remaining chicken, 2 c. broth (use less if you don’t want it too moist) Top with remaining soup. Cover w/foil and bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
