Takoyaki

In 1935 an Osaka street vendor by the name of Endo Takamichi created the first Takoyaki or octopus dumplings. Takamichi’s invention made use of octopus (tako) scraps by frying (-yaki) them up in a delicious dumpling.
For this dish you will need a takoyaki grill pan. If you don’t have one we suggest you fork up some cash and buy one because your takoyaki won’t turn out the way it should without it. Besides a takoyaki grill pan lasts forever and you can make other delicious dumplings besides takoyaki. You can try messing around with a mini muffin pan and butane stove but it just doesn’t come out quite right.
